Saathi’s inception on December 17th, 2009, marked a significant moment in the pursuit of transformative education and societal advancement. The launch event, held at the Government Model High School in Sector 52, was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including His Excellency General SF Rodrigues, who served as the then Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator, and Sh. Ram Niwas, the Home Secretary of UT Chandigarh. This auspicious beginning set the stage for Saathi to embark on a profound journey, guided by the visionary principles of our founder, Mrs. Punita Vadhera. Her dream was to create an organization that not only provided access to quality education for all children but also instilled a deep sense of global responsibility and community service among the younger generation.
The organization, driven by a dynamic group of volunteers, aimed to bridge gaps in education and foster an environment where young minds could flourish without barriers. Saathi’s commitment to these ideals saw a resurgence in 2020, reigniting the passion for social change and community development that had initially inspired its foundation. This revival was not merely a continuation of past efforts but a recommitment to the core values that Saathi stands for – inclusivity, empowerment, and positive societal impact.
